Points Requests
How do points work?
Points are earned by activity. One comment = one point. A log = five points. Points are totaled at AC every month, during the full moon. Points that have not been totaled can not be spent.
Of course, I’m using ‘spent’ as an OOC term. There are no shops to buy things unless there is a world with them, and even then, points are not IC currency. Instead, they are used by players to procure items for their characters via exploration trips and bartering with locals. ICly, they are requests from characters that have been posted on the big cork board in the entryway so that those exploring the outside can know to bring them back.
To keep things even between players, a point cap of 200 per month is currently in place.
What can be ‘bought’?
Any physical thing. It might not come right away (You’re not going to find a phone in a medieval forest, etc), but it will eventually be found.
Magic and powers can not be purchased, but magical items can. They are subject to the same rules as every other magical item.
Basic pricing
General Merchandise:30-50pts. Backpacks, stationary, books, clothing...all things that are easily found. Nothing too specific, just the absolute basics. The more specific the request (a Batman backpack, a set of dishes with a cherry blossom pattern, etc), the higher the cost. Steak knives fall into this category, not weapons. They are not sharp enough to be used as a weapon, however.
Weapons: 50-100pts. Blunt objects are the easiest to find and thus the cheapest. Blades are the next step up. If it shoots anything from anywhere? Top dollar. Ammo costs extra. Also something to keep in mind, most worlds are not huge fans of strolling down Main St. while packing something that could easily relocate a skull or ten. Weapons are the hardest items to find, and thus take the longest.
Pets/livestock: 100-200pts. So, here’s the thing. Space is, shall we say, limited in Rookshire. There are no pastures, no barns, no way of building either of those things. Large animals will have to have a ward to themselves...if you can even get them up the stairs, that is. Smaller, more personal animals are a little easier to house, but they are another mouth to feed.
It’s not impossible, but it also isn’t easy. Thus, they cost the most, despite them being relatively easy to find.
Magical items: Varies. Each item will have it’s own price. Talk to me about it and we’ll hash it out.
